    Antoine Giacometti has worked as an archaeologist since 1995, and specialises in the archaeology of the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and industrial archaeology. He established Archaeology Plan consultancy in 2011.

  • Steve McGlade

    Project Manager

    Steven McGlade is an archaeological director and has worked in archaeology since 2003, having previously studied archaeology at NUI Galway. He has experience working in both the commercial and research sectors in Ireland and Peru, and was the publication assistant for the Western Stone Forts Project while working for the Discovery Programme. He joined Archaeology Plan consultancy in 2014.

  • Philippa Barry

    Project Manager

    Philippa Barry has worked in commercial and research archaeology since 2010. She has a degree in Law and German, a HDip in Archaeology and an MA in Human Osteology. She provides planning consultancy advice and leads monitoring and excavation programmes. She worked on the Late Iron Age and Roman Ireland project for the Discovery Programme. She is joint Hon. Gen. Sec. for the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland and a committee member of IAPO. She has extensive experience on urban and rural site types of all ages, in Ireland and abroad.

  • Siobhain Ruddy

    Assistant Director

    Siobhain has worked in archaeology since 2007 after studying archaeology and classical civilisations at NUI Galway. She has extensive experience on both dry and wetland sites and covering all archaeological periods from the Neolithic to the Industrial Era. She has also worked on Iron Age sites in Ethiopia and Romano-British sites in England.

  • Graham Nevin

    Site Supervisor

    Graham has worked as a commercial archaeologist since 2019, after receiving a BA (Hons) in Ancient History and Archaeology from Trinity College Dublin and an MSc in Material Culture Studies from Leiden University. He previously worked with Leiden University on experimental archaeology projects including prehistoric tool and use wear analysis. He has experience on urban and rural sites of varying eras in Ireland carrying out excavations and post excavation activities. In 2021 he began working with Archaeology Plan.

  • Christina Hughes

    Post Excavation & Office Manager

    Christina Hughes has been working in commercial archaeology since 2017, having previously studied her BA in Archaeology in University College Dublin. She has worked on both urban and rural sites of all periods in Ireland and abroad as both site and post-ex supervisor. In 2019 she worked on the Early Medieval Iron Crafts (EMIC) research project in conjunction with UCD. Christina first began working with Archaeology Plan in 2018 and took on the role of Post Ex & Office Manager with the company in 2021.

  • John Cronin

    Archaeological Researcher

    John Cronin graduated with a BA in History and Archaeology from the University of Galway. He later gained an MA degree from there. In 2007 he was awarded a PhD by the European University Institute, Florence. He has been employed on the Irish-government sponsored “Irish Battlefields Project”, where he focused on early-modern conflicts. He has also worked as a teacher with the City of Dublin ETB, and as a lecturer with Dundalk Institute of Technology. He likewise lectured in Mary Immaculate College (University of Limerick), Carlow College, Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin and the University of Galway. He has, furthermore, worked on a number of exhibitions for Epic Ireland Museum. His research has been printed in Britain, Europe North America and Ireland. He has recently contributed to the New Cambridge History of Ireland.

  • Hannah Preston

    Archaeological Researcher

    Hannah Preston has worked as an archaeologist since 2021. She originally graduated with a BA in History, Geography, and Greek and Roman Civilisations in Maynooth University in 2015. She worked in an office setting for several years before deciding to do a Masters of Science in Archaeology in UCD in 2021. Since then Hannah has worked in a variety of archaeological sectors, including; fieldwork, post-excavation, museum inventory and documentation.

  • Anna Kohanoff

    Archaeological GIS Technician Trainee

    Anna has an MA in Ancient History and Archaeology and graduated with an MSc in Material Cultures Studies from Leiden University in 2019. She has been involved in research excavations and experimental archaeology in Italy, and has worked for Archaeology Plan since 2023 after a period working in education and outreach in Ireland.
