Archaeological Monitoring

Archaeological monitoring of development works also frequently occurs as condition of Planning Permission. Monitoring requires that an archaeologist be present during development operations that may pose a potential impact to unrecognised archaeological features or material. The archaeologist’s role is to identify and protect any features or artefacts that may be exposed or affected by the works.

In the event that archaeological deposits are encountered, Archaeology Plan will engage directly with the statutory authorities on behalf of the client.
